Review summary

Non-english speaking crew is well-meaning, but inept. Robo-tips are an insult (be sure to have yours pulled on the last day). Many ports require taxi or bus to reach civlilization. NCL does not provide transit for non-excursion folks. Shore excursions are, for the most part, over-priced and uninspired. Food is unpalatable - even in the premium restaurants. Try another cruise line if the trip really matters to you.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Absolutely pathetic. Everything looks\, feels and sounds delicious\, but wait until you taste the sugar\, salt and fat-laden fare. We had to switch to fresh fruit to stop the swelling. Room Service was a crap-shoot; you never knew when they'd arrive or what they'd bring!

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Much ado about nothing. Lots of expensive bars (+18% robo-tip). Casino slots set to 'zero payout'. Shows are sad at best.

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
Children should not be allowed aboard.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
English skills lacking - not helpful in a pinch.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Old\, tired 'Love American Style' decor is gaudy and disturbing. Mold problem led to allergic reactions. Elevators are slow - sometimes jammed for extended periods.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Wholly adequate. Only complaint was the allergic reaction we had to the mold. NCL needs to change vent filters frequently and deep-clean carpets. Would be nice if closet doors didn't hit the bed making it difficult to get into the closet.

Pros: Cabin Boy

Cons: The Food
