Review summary

This was our first cruise. Would I take another cruise? Absolutely, yes. Would it be on Norwegian? Absolutely not. The food was awful. Fish was overcooked, dry and fishy tasting. Souffles were served with raw egg at the bottom. Hamburgers tasted like they were pre-cooked and re-heated. Eggs Benedict were served with hard yolks. I could go on but you get the point.... We arrived in 2 ports 1/2 hour late which affected our excursions. At Cinque Terre we were supposed to go to 4 of the 5 cities, we only got to 3 with no apologies from the ship.

We did enjoy this excursion. Pompei was facinating. Lunch at the farmhouse was enjoyable.
Don't Miss: Pompei

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

We booked a private tour with Miles & Miles in Rome. This was, by far, the BEST thing that we did. For essentially the same price as the ship's excursion, we got a personalized tour of Rome and the Vatican. What a GREAT experience and city! Roberto explained to us in the car what we were going to see then accompanied us to make sure that we understood the history, the site, etc. Any time that we go back to Italy, we will book our tours with Miles & Miles!
Don't Miss: Everything in the city

Pros: Ports, balcony

Cons: Food
