This was the second time we cruised the Getaway. We loved it both times. The staff was very friendly and  helpful. Food in the main dining rooms was delicious! We especially enjoyed our dinners in the Tropicana. Not only was it beautiful but it was enjoyable having entertainment while dining. The comedians were very funny. My birthday dinner in Cagney's steak house was amazing. Overall we loved our cruise and wanted to stay onboard another week!

AFTER CRUISING WITH ROYAL CARRIBEAN, BOARD THE SHIP WITH LITTLE EXPECTATION. ONCE WE BOARDED, I WAS AMAZED!! THE SHIPP WAS BEAUTIFUL, FOOD WAS EXCELLENT, ACTIVITIES ABOARD THE SHIP WAS AWESOME AND THE PERSONNEL (BARTENDERS, WAITER, WAITRESSES, ROOM ATTENDANTS) WAS AMAZING.WE ARE ALREADY PLANNING OUR NEXT TRIP WITH NORWEIGAN.

With some concerns about the hurricane season, we lucked out and had fantastic weather. The sea was calm.  The water was warm and the beaches (St. Thomas and Tortolla) clean and beautiful. The ship is in great shape, sparking clean. The pool (salt water) was busy but not overcrowded. The food in the 3 main dining rooms (all share the same galley)  was excellent, especially the chef's special. The shows were great (especially Legally Blond The Musical) but make your free reservations early for the best show times. The game shows were also really fun to watch. The service on NCL is "self service"  - they are not going to read your mind. But don't be shy to ask, and they will generally help you out.

I had a wonderful time on the NCL Getaway. The staff was courteous and very helpful.  The food was great and the entertainment was great.  I am already looking at other cruises for next year.

I have to say that I was afraid to go on the ship because I get dizzy very easily. I did not want to be drugged up on anti nausea medications. There were days that I did not even remember I was on the cruse ship. Very pleasant and full vacation. The service was excellent, the room was more than adequate. The Thermal spa was awesome and relaxing. Entertainment was excellent also. All staff were helpful and would do what ever it took to make our experience wonderful. I will take a cruse again. real soon.

the ship was beautiful, especially the dining rooms.  The layout of the staterooms was excellent especially the larger shower areas, and storage.  I have some issue with the very casual dress allowed in the dining areas but one is on notices that it is cruising your way.  Was not thrilled with the bus trip on Tortolla, but that was countered by a great boat ride around the island to complete the excursion.we selected the ultimate beverage package as our cruising election and that proved to be a great use of a freebie.

This was the best cruise of my life for many reasons.  First and foremost, my son was chosen to be part of the Dream Quest TV show and he had the most amazing time being able to film with the film crew.  He got to do things like film a wedding underwater, interview Illusionarium cast members, and go down the water slides with a GoPro.  We will be forever grateful to NCL for making this dream come true for my son.  The new ship is stunning in every way.  The entertainment was top notch.  The specialty restaurants were impeccable.  The cruise director was very friendly, welcoming and had so much energy, talent, and character.  The port stops were just perfect and gave us just enough time to enjoy each place.  We are also grateful to the captain and his team for navigating us to avoid the hurricane in the area. By the end of the cruise, the ocean was so flat, it looked more like a lake! The Cruise Rewards/Cruise Next program is great, and the Cruise consultant was so professional, helpful and efficient. I am already booked on 5 more cruises with NCL, and I can't wait to take each one! I LOVE NCL and so does my whole family now who I am getting more of them to join. 

Enjoyed the Getaway Cruise.  Legally Blonde was fantastic.  I look forward to cruising next year!  We enjoyed the comedy shows with our under age daughter as well as when we returned for the comedy show for adults only.

The Haven is the only way to go!!!   Felt so special!!  Staff was was professional, and nice and helpful.  My teens enjoyed the ship and on board activities.  The food in the specialty restaurants was great and the service as well.  Being a part of the Haven package was a dream come true as I have cruises many times on Norwegian but never in the Haven.  I will never  travel any other way.  It was so enjoyable and relaxing!  Thank you staff at the Haven Court yard!  You are wonderful!

Took this cruise with a party of 16 people ranging from 4 to 53..everyone had a great time ...my only complaints are the adult pool is way to small to accommodate the amount of adults on the cruise.  The balcony cabins are way to small to accommodate 4 people if your traveling with kids....the food was average ...my family took the specialty dining package which was ok...next time I would take the drink package as we seemed to like the regular dining more...we did eat at 3 specialty restaurants and there were upcharges for what we ordered but they waived those..overall had a great time...

had a great time on this cruise....food was tasty and a very wide variety to choose from......alot of activities on borad never a dull moment.....the ubp is worth getting...looking forward to another....

 Well to start to my surprise the boat was a beauty no issue with the boat, the staff on the other hand I believe could have been more welcoming for the amount of money that I paid. I went on this cruise line for the first time I have sailed before with other ships so this was my first with NCL. On this ship you have to pay for everything while your on the boat activities that I felt should have been included with what I had already paid for, so this left me and my daughter feeling left out because we could not do everything due to the price of everything and it adds up. The staff like I said were not welcoming at all, when it came time to get off the boat I was escorted to the side and was not told why, when I asked why the man explained that something was wrong with my card. he brought me to another woman who then took my card and she told me that I had an outstanding balance. Now I went to gust services the night before to finalize my bill and I was told that everything was good that my card will be charged. The only thing that the woman heard was that I had a card she then picked up the phone and called someone and basically told them to run my card, I told the wait can you let me at lest explain what happened last night she said nothing to me, paid me no attention; My daughter then edged up to look at the laptop that the woman was using and she told my daughter that she could not look at the computer as it was classified information, I then said is it my information and the woman said yes, then I pointed out a WOMAN STANDING BEHIND HER and said well she is a passenger and she is able to look at MY classified information, however my daughter is NOT!, the woman said nothing she pretended that she did not hear me, So I said it louder and when another crew member came she then told the woman to move from looking at the computer. I was very upset then she gave me a receipt and said that I was clear to get off. When I got home I was charged my final bill twice! because the woman did not listen to what I had to say but just charged me it twice. So So SOOOOOO unhappy with the way that I was treated on the NCL boat. The Woman name is Angelica Ada. I told all my family and friends how I was treated on this boat. NCL will never see my money or family again.             

Thought ship was a non smoking or at least in the casino. Travel agent did not elaborate. Have been on Celebrity, Oceania, etc. where no smoking in casinos .

Due to allowing smoking in the casino of the NCL Getaway, the smokey and stale smells permiated from the 7th fl. down to the 6th and up to the 8th. Surprised that there was not better ventalation and/or at least spray for the smokey odor. In the mornings, you could still smell the smoke when one was on deck 6 waiting for guest services or the internet mgr. Due to the area being open all the way from the 6th fl to the 8th fl, the smoke and odors stay. When walking to the restaurants at the back of the ship, I had  to hold my breath as not to breathe in the smokey odors. P.S. I have problems with smoke and my chest closes up. Not a good experience for me.

One of the best vacations in years that I have taken very memorable and the entertainment crew staff made us feel as if we have been there for years. From the sports deck, rope course, pool , shows, food was good especially the flamingo restaurant. I cant wait to go on another Norwegian cruise

Hello - I wanted to share what an AMAZING time we had on the NCL Getaway.  There isn't one thing that we didn't absolutely love.  The entertainment was spectacular.  I love the fact that there was latin music on board and variety of shows, music, clubs, parties.  We loved Burn the floor!!!  The food was DELICIOUS!  We were very surprised at how many Cuban dishes there were, which we simply loved.  We were not expecting to see "chicharrones" on board and there they were at the Flamingo Bar & Grill.  Everything exceeded our expectations.  Oh and before I forget, I LOVED the ships décor - so Miami, so chic, so simple and yet so beautiful.  We highly recommend this cruise to everyone. 

NCL, thanks for making such a beautiful ship that we enjoyed along with the beautiful ports of call.

First time on NCL- previous cruises only on Royal Caribbean and Silversea. Didn't think I would like such a large ship but it was great! There was so much to do or you could just relax. The only place it ever felt crowded was around the small pool- but there was always plenty of "quieter" places to lounge or tan on other decks. The shows were first rate and all the restaurants- including the "free" ones are very good. There is actually no way to enjoy all this ship has to offer in just 7 days! And I think it has something for every age group! Will definitely be returning!

frist  let me say the ship is very nice.  con ship did not go to where it was scheuled   that was not the problem  the problem was we were not notified till we boarded the ship. the smoking section was so small and never cleaned  the pool was also to small for the amount of people on the getaway  there was no place to lounge and be able to smoke either  

We found the room to be clean as well as the ship. The food was just ok. The bars start shutting down at around 11:30. The entertainment was not very good and that to be the consensus of other passengers as well. We did not get to any of the ports that we paid to see as we were diverted due to a storm. That was very disappointing since we had already been to the ports we had been diverted to. We have cruised on several different cruise lines and I would put this one at the bottom.

We were re-routed because Hurricane Danny was moving toward the Virgin Islands.  Instead we went to Jamaica and Cozumel.  The weather was excellent and the boat was beautiful and new.  The cabins were roomy for a cruise, with lots of places for storage.  The excursions were pricey, but fun.  The only issue we had was the food.  It was just average compared to the food experience we had with Royal Caribbean.  The quality and presentation of the food at Norwegian did not compare, but the trade off was the ability to dine whenever you wanted to, which gave us a lot more freedom in our schedule.  The things that cost additional money were abounding, costing us quite a bit before the week was out.  It would have been nice to have several more choices for included dining because they were just serving the same food in the different dining options.  We tried one of the restaurants with an additional fee in hopes of getting much better food, but were disappointed.  Foodies should not choose this cruise.  The amenities were fun like the ropes course and the water slides, but the adult pool was WAY too small and people were packed in like sardines on "at sea" days.  Not enough chairs in the shade, for sure and people would "save" them with their towels.  Overall, I will probably head back to Royal Caribbean next time, but thanks for the new experience!

Had a good time.Love everything about this ship.Can't  wait for my third time to go again. The food was great. Meet a lot of people. The shows were great.My balcony was nice..
