7-day cruise on NCL getaway was wonderful for a first time cruise. Got the mini-suite, and it was very nice and plenty of room for 2 adults and a 8 year old child. Shower was awesome with 6 heads and a overhead rain head. Waterslides were great. Restraunts were good, don't expect 5 star food, but it was good. Buffet was good and well kept, with lots of choices. Staff on boat was helpful and friendly. Our trip never made it to the eastern Caribbean ports we were scheduled to visit due to hurricane Gonzalo. However they re-routed us to Jamaica and Cozumel, set up new shore excursions, and refunded our originally planned shore excursions. Weather and sea conditions on new route could not have been better.. Calm seas, sun every day. If not for the boat announcement's, we would have never known about a hurricane. I will be back for more cruises with NCL.
