The ship was amazing.  It was new and well caredt for.   It was our first time having a balcony and we enjoyed it.   We did experience some probems right from the first day which brought our momentum down.  We were charged a corking fee of $30i for 2 paper type containes (no corks) of wine we purchased at duty free and brought with us when we were checking in.  Our understandilng was that the corking fees only applied to bottles one may bring in the dining room.  Othes we spoke to told us they brought wine bottles and put them in their suitcase and never got caught.  We, being honest ended up being charged.  On arrival in our room, the TV was not working, yet it was telling us there were messages in our inbox.  We called Guest Services many times, no answer.  We finally got someone but they did not seem to be bothered in helping.  We then spoke to our Steward, Weldin  He brought this to his Managers attention.  The second day we decided to go down to Guest Servcies on the 6th floor as calling their line was still a problem.  We spoke to a girl and expained our concerns.  Later that day, we found a bottle of wine and some strawberries dipped in chocolate to make up  for the inconvenience.  This was a nice gesture.  The TV was also fixed.  We are sure that our Steward also played a role in getting our TV concern rectified.

The service we received from Weldin, our Steward was exceptional.  He kept our room in impecable condition.  He greeted us every morning and evening with a smile and wanted to make sure we were enjoying our journey at sea.  Because of Weldlin's service, we would sail again with NCL.

The buffet on the 15th floor was very good.  However, when we compared the formal dining room (Tropicana) to other cruise lines, we found the menu (especially the appetizers) to be not at the calibre expected.  The main courses also were not as enjoyable.  Although there were other compimentary restaurants and specialty restaurants, we did not try them.

The last time we cruised was 4 years ago and we were looking forward to another one.  So, overall, this cruise was fine with the expection of a few things we came across.  It had a lot of amenities for couples, young and older, and catered to families which was nice to see.
