Being my 18th cruise on ncl I expected a lot more. I hadn't cruised ncl since 2005 on the pride of America (would not recommend either) which left a bad taste in my mouth, but I was hopeful this would be like old times of great times. This was not the case. Getting on board you can see details in the ship that it's not kept up. Come to find out its going in for refurbishing soon, so I'm sure they are doing the minimum. The cruise had 4 days at sea total, and it was horribly boring. Thankfully we had a mini suite with a balcony to sit out on to pass the time. I wouldn't recommend any balconies unless you do a suite. They are very small, and not worth the money. Either go with an ocean view or a penthouse suite, the middle you'll be disappointed. Back to boredom, many FREE things going on inboard were canceled since they were outside and weather didnt permit it. There are minimal free things to do, so expect to spending at least $50 extra per person per day to entertain yourself. Don't waste your money with specialty restaurants, you get no better service, no better food, and just money out of your pocket. The 24 hour restaurant was the best place to eat besides the buffet, there were actually people who spoke English, and attempted to boost up your dining experience. There was a huge language barrier many times, which made things difficult. The worse case we had was with the front desk. I had paid for Internet (needed something to do) and you can't just close the browser you have to log out, well I couldn't figure out how, so I called the front desk and I was told to go to a certain website. Well the website didnt exist, so I called right back, there was no hi again can I help you, it was more hello ? You didn't get it to work???! So I asked for it to be spelled, since there was an accent I probably heard it wrong. I was told I'd have to wait for a manager to be free because she couldn't help me anymore. Thankfully another guest had the same issue
