Generally speaking, the Ship was in excellent condition; the carpet really accentuates the Ship and its decor; it was always kept clean. The Main Dining rooms were great; it was like eating at Red Lobster/Olive Garden every night; and the Food was just Terrific. You didn't have to wait long for your meal, either, they were pretty quick. Waiters and Waitresses were very accomodating.

Food and Dining

We stayed in the Main Dining Rooms because there Dinner Menus was just as good if not better than\, i think\, of the other places to eat. The Garden Buffet was also\, good too. Variety of meals to have. And good food; well cooked. Chefs were Great!

The Jazz Band was the Best!

Service and Staff

Good hard working Staff; my Steward was very accomodating for anything that we needed.

Ship Quality

Loved the Cleanliness and Freedom and Pleasant Attitudes of most people.

Cabin / Stateroom

Too small; ours had a bunkbed(attached to the wall) in it. Which shouldn't have been there. That was annoying and aggravating. We will do Balcony next trip.

Pros: The Food was Great in the Main Dining room; smoking areas was plentiful; the Music/DJ/Bands entertainment was very good; Embarking and Disembarking was very organized; the Staff was courteous and pleasant and very helpful; I enjoyed the layed-back feeling I got from the entire Ship.

Cons: The Stateroom was too small(we were booked in a room w/a bunkbed; not pleasing); the shows weren't that great(Carnivals shows were Fantastic);too much Bingo

Recommends Norwegian Gem? Yes!
