Room Type: Suite

Embarkation was a breeze. Disembarkation is wonderful! The best. You can stay for b'fast & lunch. The ship is small so you feel more movement. It's clean and well maintained. The maps are well positioned. The jr suite is incredibly small. The cruise director does not have a lot of free family things listed to do. Free shuffleboard w you are fellow passnegres. Bingo at $30 & $50 per game. Bowling w your fellow passengers at $10 per game per person. No belly flop contest, no line dancing, no clalipso, reggae band poolside. $12 to see a movie in your room. Satellite Tv w channels TCM, TNT, cartoon network, FOX, CNN do not always work. Funny they always work at the bar.

Pros: the ports

Cons: the dining service

Recommends Norwegian Gem? Yes!

Bridgetown, Barbados
If you can only do 1 excursion this would be it. The turtles are amazing. The crew is outstanding. The water is crystal clear blue. The snorkeling was great.
Don't Miss: Tiami 5 star Catamaran
Road Town, Tortola, B.V.I.
We did the once in a lifetime swim w dolphins. We enjoyed it but it is steep. They are not very organized trying to sell you your pictures and DVD from the event. The shops by the port are nothing great and they are a ways away if you can't walk far.
St. John's, Antigua
I wouldn't wander around. We all enjoyed snorkeling at prickly pear. The tour guides could not have been more knowledgable or helpful.
Don't Miss: prickly pear
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Coki Beach was ok for snorkeling if you are a beginner or have kids, the shopping was great. The parasailing was the best
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Our excursion was cancelled dt poor visibility for snorkeling. The shops at port are very expensive.
