Sail Date: March 01, 2008 Cabin Type: Balcony Traveled As: Couple Reviewed: 9 years ago
Overall, the size of the ship is impressive and it is brand new. It feels a bit claustrophobic in the hallways as they are very narrow. The restaurants are "tucked" away and are hard to find on the first 2 days onboard. The crew is relatively new which translates to inexperienced & they have to work on their people skills. DO NOT get off at FREEPORT. It is a shame they sell excursions when it is an industrialized area. It is a very short day & its best to stay onboard, get some sun by the pool. DO NOT take the Junkanoo Beach Party excursion - operative word there is "Junk." Overpriced @ $64 USD & totally not worth it. Port Canaveral Florida & Nassau are great port w/plenty to do.
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Cover charge at Cagney's Steakhouse is not justified. Le Bistro is great and worth the price with great food & service. Also try Teppanyaki. Garden Cafe has good food for breakfast & lunch while your out on the deck /pool. Magenta is also good and there is no cover charge. The line at the Grand Pacific (main dining room) moves fast so don't despair.

We skipped the shows as the dancers were all new. We did see a comedy show with Second City which was pretty funny. The "Quest" adult show played on the last night is really great; you have to check it out at Spinnaker's. There were alot of musicians onboard but hardly anyone there to listen to them. Probably due to the much older crowd on board? (who knows)...
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
I'll rate this "Excellent" based on our experience with our housekeeping staff. They would answer any of our questions with a smile, help us find our way, get our paper in the morning when it was not being delivered on time and had good tips for the ports.
5 out of 5
I'll give it an "Excellent" for cleanliness and condition of public areas. But will defer to a "Good" for layout as it is hard to find your way around. The bars are quite small in some areas and the different lounges in public areas were mostly empty. Where was everyone?
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Staterooms are cleaned twice daily and the housekeeping staff is top-notch, very friendly, and helpful.
Pros: Spa; Food;
Cons: New Crew (ie unexperiences & somewhat unfriendly)
