Room Type: Suite

if you are going to splurge for a mini-suite make sure it isn't located directly under the main buffet hall. and be prepared to spend alot more cash to be able to enjoy a descent meal at the specialty restaraunts. you have to pay extra for just about everything.

Pros: spa

Cons: room

Recommends Norwegian Gem? No.

Ship Quality
the layout was strange a large travel lane goes right through some restaraunts.
Food and Dining
it was like the main dining hall had very strange dishes so you would say i don't know what that is, lets go get a steak at the restaraunt that costs $20 per person
Cabin / Stateroom
don't book a room under the buffet hall, you'll be up all night hearing chairs being dragged across the floor and carts rolling over your head all night long. the room itself was nice.
Service and Staff
when the ship is full you can't change your room, so just deal with it, you don't need sleep.
the room steward was very kind and courteous.
Port Canaveral, Florida
Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas
the beach was beautiful, don't waste your money on the snorkel excursion. you are only allowed to snorkel in the small roped in area of the beach. that will save you $29 each.
Don't Miss: beach
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island
shopping also save your $29 and take a 20 minute taxi drive for $5 to lacaya shopping center and walk across the street to casino and beach.
Nassau, Bahamas
also don't waste $149 each on the atlantis excursion. at the port take a taxi over and pay at the hotel to see aquarium and use the water parks. a very beautiful resort.
Don't Miss: atlantis
