Review summary

I would recommend the trip. There is a lot to do on the boat.  St. Thomas and Tortola are nice to visit. The food and drinks were very good. So was the service. But be prepared to pay for extras like the adult deck, specialty dining, room service, etc.  And don't count on getting a lounge chair on deck.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was good and always hot. 24 hour dining at O'Sheehans. You can get room service. But there is a $7.95 charge for anything other than continental breakfast. We had the unlimited beverage package and drinks were good. The table servers are really busy on deck. If you want to see them more often, slip them a couple of dollars when they bring your drinks. Manhattan is the best dining room. Ask for PI as your bartender. He will not disappoint. Specialty dining is an extra charge, which was disappointing. But the free options were good and there was plenty of variety. Also, if you drink in the port in Miami, they do charge you tax that is not covered with you unlimited beverage package.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There is always something going on. However it is impossible to get a lounge chair on deck. I was willing to pay $100 for a pass to Vibe (adult deck). I was onboard by noon to get the pass but they were already sold out. And you cannot purchase the pass in advance. People put towels on lounge chairs early in the morning and go back to the cabin to sleep until the afternoon. The staff should not allow this.

Entertainment

Shows were average. The singers in the lounges and atrium were very talented. Music is geared towards older passengers - 70's and 80's.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Very pleasant and helpful. They often addressed you by name. My husband uses a CPAP machine and we did not realize you needed to order distilled water and a four foot extension cord two weeks before sailing. Our cabin attendant made sure we got them anyway.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful design and very clean. Maybe it is because the ship is new but I never even saw fingerprints on all of the glass and shiny surfaces.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The cabin was okay. Loved the floor to cieling sliding doors. But the rooms are very narrow. Very limited space between the bed and tv/wall. It looks bigger in the online photos. The shower was awesome and roomy. The mattress is not overly comfortable. We woke up with sore backs every morning.

Ship tip

If you want a chair on deck, make sure you get out there between 8:00 am and 9:00 am.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Ok port city. Kind of expensive.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Get a banana daiquiri. If you go to the beach, Sapphire Beach Or Megan's Bay are both beautiful and you can snorkel. Good deals on jewelry and there is an extra duty free allowance since it is a US territory.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

3 out of 5
Island tour is nice. Leave a few minutes to listen to the steel drum band near the taxi stand. They are entertaining. Cuban cigars are available at Aromas and you can bring them back to the US now.

Nassau, Bahamas

Stay on the boat. Service is slow and they really push to sell you things. You can actually get a chair poolside and get in the pool.
