Review summary

We had no cold water for an entire day in our room so taking a scolding hot shower was out of the question for an entire day. That was day 3, Day 5 brought up a whole new problem. The toilet overflowed and had about an inch of water on the entire floor, bad valve was to blame on a 4 month old ship. Ran out of soap in the shower and it took them 6 hours to drop off 2 bars of soap. The food was good, drinks and bartenders were great. Last 3 days of the cruise we had a Norovirus outbreak so that put a damper on things as well. They also never delivered the flowers I had preordered weeks before getting on the ship, they finally just gave me a refund after day 3, which I doubt they would have, had I not complained. Made the best of a bad situation but the customer service was severely lacking this cruise from the guest service desk to the phone operators not answering any calls

The ship is actually a year old but that doesn't really matter. Things can go wrong anytime. If a sponge bath was out of the question you could've used the shower in the spa. Given the situation I'm sure all you'd have to do is ask. Not complain, ask. The toilet valve, things break. They fixed it, right. Did you really sit in your room for six hours waiting for a bar of soap? Any time of the day there is someone with a cart in the hallway working on rooms. All you have to do is ask. Were you quarantined with the virus? If not, how did it affect you. I heard about it and also heard they went all out scrubbing down everything. What else can you ask for? And yes, unless you complain that you didn't get the roses, how would they know to refund you?

Similar issues on our April cruise. They did give me a cash voucher for a future cruise but we booked NCL instead. Very disappointing as RCL was always our favorite line.
