Review summary

Fabulous. A once in a lifetime adventure. We would have liked to have one more sea day to relax a bit but didn't want to miss any of the excursions. This is a great cruise.

Embarkation

Fast and smooth

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everything was great. I love the freestyle dining concept and the food was fabulous. Tappenyaki and Cagneys were specifically great but the Manhattan was great as well. And the buffet? Great!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Our Granddaughter enjoyed the teen club and everything else was really nice.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were really great with several to choose from.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Teen club was a nice touch for teens to get to know each other and make friends. No adults allowed!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was great especially the waiters. They also had all of the senior staff be out and among the guests which was nice to see.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship design was good. Common areas were kept clean and most of the restaurants were centrally located.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was very nice. A bit cramped for 3 people but overall not bad. I would have liked to have a bit more privacy in the bathroom but we made it work. It was clean and well kept.

Ship tip

It's a huge ship with 4100 guests but they make it work. If you have a sea day the pool area is very crowded. Get there early to get a deck chair.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy Did not visit port

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

5 out of 5
All I can say is fabulous. Both are must see!

Cannes, France

5 out of 5
We visited Manaco, Monte Carlo, and Eze. Eze is a must see. One of our favorites!

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

4 out of 5
We only had about 4 hours here so we didn't really know what to expect. It is a really nice port with more history than we had heard about. We would have liked a little more time.

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
This was our favorite. The Gothic quarter is wonderful and the Sangalo Familia is a must. It was very crowded.

Naples, Italy

5 out of 5
Our tour of Mt. Vesuvius was cancelled due to fires so we went to Sorento instead which was very enjoyable. Then we bussed to Pompei which is a definite must see. We were amazed at the size of Pompei.

Disembarkation

It was great. everything went well. If you can handle your own luggage it works great.

I think it is always nice when you want to remain on the ship longer. Good cruise sign. Time to start planning.
