Overall a great cruise

Sail Date: September 01, 2013

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

Very well laid out ship - didn't feel like there were over 3\,000 guests on board. Good value for the money\, even though we had dinner every night at the \"premium\" restaurants...which were worth every penny (except for the Cirque de Solei \"premium seating\" dinner show)

Pros: Location of our stateroom - very quiet

Cons: Cirque de Solei

Recommends Norwegian Epic? Yes!

Ship Quality
Very clean ship. Very good embarkation and debarkation processes.
Food and Dining
Except for the dinner at the Cirque de Solei dinner show\, food was excellent at all of the other premium dining venues. Good portions (ie. not too large...) and quality. Service was \"spotty\" - excellent in some venues\, but average at others. Best \"free\" dinner was the Manhatten Supper club.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very roomy Spa Mini Suite had plenty of room for two and best part was the access to the Thermal Spa - steam room\, sauna\, thermal pools - which were a welcome relief after long days of tours at each port
Service and Staff
Mostly staff from the Philippines\, some of which did not speak or understand English adequately
Entertainment
Lots of variety - especially liked the dueling pianos show. The Cirque de Solei show was good\, but the dinner and service were poor - as was the additional $10 we paid for \"premium seating\" - the line for \"general seating\" was much smaller than the line for premium seating and it was very difficult to distinguish \"premium seating\" from \"general seating\" - suggestion - just charge one price and make the show a \"cocktail\" show.
