Good ship but cabins are a design disaster
Norwegian Epic Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western

Ship: Norwegian Epic

For a mega ship this one was fine with room for all 4,100 passengers. Garden Café had best cooking of all NCL ships we have travelled on. However, the balcony cabin is terribly small with the toilet on one side of the entrance to the cabin which has no soundproofing and is embarassing to use when there are two people in the cabin. The shower is one the other side of the entrance fo the cabin and when you take a shower of course water gets all over the floor at the entrance to the cabin and you have to mop it up. Sink is small and set back from edge of cabinet so water goes all over and you have to mop it up. Bench seating is before you get to the bed and is curved with short seat depth so it is uncomfortable to sit on and there is no place to put a plate or glass should you order room service. It is clear no-one who signed off on this design ever cruised or even built a mock up version to see if and how it works. Would never recommend this ship.. The real wonderful mega ship is the Oasis of the Seas by Royal Caribbean. In all ways - entertainment, cabin, areas of interest, cuisine - the Oasis of the Seas beats the Epic by1,000% percent.and more.
