7 Night Western Mediterranean (Barcelona Roundtrip)
Sail Date: June 12, 2011
Ship: Norwegian Epic
Cabin Type: Inside
Traveled As: Singles/Friends

NCL has freestyle cruising down nicely, but constant up selling and pushing very expensive drinks, spa services, tous, etc, got old very fast. I am not the only one that noticed, everyone was unhappy with this aggressive policy. On board, I spent nearly 3x more $$$, than I did on similar Med cruise a year ago.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Average food , limited offerings, same food every day, little variety on buffet included in booking fare.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Blue man group was terrific, also live bands great too!

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
All business...friendly, but aggressively trying to sell...drinks, tours, retail items, as is on commission basis.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Nice ship!

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Suites for 1 person small, cut nice.

Pros: Nice ship, clean, decent service

Cons: Constant sales pitch on everything extra, drinks, food, excursions, services. Really a turn-off. Food, just average.

Recommends Norwegian Epic? Yes!
