This was our 4th Cruise and our 3rd with Norwegian Cruise Line, all NCLs booked through Travel. We traveled as a couple without children. We had a balcony stateroom. The ship was Gigantic. Currently the EPIC is the 2nd largest cruise ship in the world. It has, Unlimited activities, excellent entertainment and food galore. Even though we had 4000+ passengers it never seemed overcrowded for any aspect we chose.

Food and Dining

NCL's Fee-Style dining is the best. Casual, anytime dining. You are not locked into any restaurant, a specific time or a group of people to dine with. There are all types of restaurants available for Meats, Noodle Bar, Pizza, snacks, Cafe style buffet, and many sit-down service restaurants. There is American, Italian, Asian, French, etc. A few of the restaurants were specialty restaurants with a minimal fee, but well worth it for atmosphere and the opportunity to dress-up. Most restaurants are casual dress, but dress-up is suggested for the premium specialty restaurants . We also took advantage of room service for breakfast on 3 days and sat out on our deck overlooking our beautiful Ocean view.

The variety of entertainment and activities were more than we had an opportunity to experience. We enjoyed The Blue-Man Group, a Cirque Show, a couple of Second City Improve shows including a luncheon show "Presumed Dead" with audience-participation, and a Vegas Comic-Magician who was great. My stomach hurt from laughing so hard. They also have a huge spa and a fantastically equipped exercise area with trainers. There is a deck which is mostly the casino, with all types of gambling. We are no gamblers, we played the slots just to try them. There are shops on board for duty free shopping and fantastic gifts and specials. We also took advantage of visiting the worlds only Ice-Bar on a Cruise ship. It was an experience of a lifetime. Everything is made of Ice including the drinking glasses. The temperature inside was 12 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 11 degree Celsius). My wife wore open-toe shoes which was a mistake. It was an experience of a lifetime and should not be skipp

Service and Staff

You could never walk down a corridor, in an elevator, shops, entertainments areas, etc. without having an employee see you, smile and say hello or ask how you day was going. If you ever seemed you didn't know what you were looking for or where to go, an employee was always there and quick to offer assistance if needed.

Ship Quality

As mentioned, the 2nd largest cruise ship in the world. The layout was easy to find everything you need. There were directories and maps on every deck. The cleanliness was superb, the corridors, decks, elevators, stairways, shops, entertainment areas, restaurants and rooms were as neat as a pin.

Cabin / Stateroom

We have been fortunate to always choose and received a balcony stateroom which is a bit roomier and more comfortable. The Beds are extremely comfortable and we always had a great night's sleep. The guest-services was spectacular for cleaning the rooms. It seemed if we left the room for a few minutes we would return to having the beds made, the trash emptied, etc. The balcony is great for having a relaxing breakfast or wind-down with a glass of wine looking at the stars before going to bed.

In St Thomas we took advantage of one of the excursions with a sightseeing tour of the downtown area as we drove to Megans beach. The beach was absolutely beautiful. The water is crystal clear bluish-green and so warm. The beach is very clean and we had perfect 88 degree weather.
Don't Miss: The beaches

ST Maarten for us was no excursion, just walked around town on our own sightseeing and shopping. Jewelry is very reasonable in St Maarten and we took advantage of the low prices.
Don't Miss: Shop for jewelry.

In Nassau, we took a bus tour of Nassau with a ferry ride over to Paradise Island to then tour Atlantis. It was unbelievable and I wish we had more time. We returned to Nassau to do some downtown shopping for souvenirs.
Don't Miss: Paradise Island-ATLANTIS Resort

Pros: Free-Style Dining. Ultimate Entertainment. Numerous Activities. Great Guest Services. Fun Galore.

Cons: Not enough time to do everything.
