Norwegian Epic Inaugaral TransAtlantic
Norwegian Epic Cruise Review to Transatlantic
Ship: Norwegian Epic
Cabin Type: Inside

Review SummaryNo typical 'Welcome Aboard' greeting on boarding the ship - expected something special being her Inaugaral TransAtlantic cruise.
The 2 formal dining rooms (Manhatten and Taste) have the exact same menu, so you really only have a choice of buffet at the Garden Cafe, where the choices are pretty limited, and one of these more formal dining rooms - seating at the Manhatten was chaotic, serve staff had a table layout diagram with them and took you for a tour of the whole dinigroom to try and find the table allocated to your party at the door. Food was for the most tasteless and served without much enthusiasm.
Would seem as though they are encouraging you to pay the premium and make use of their 'Speciality' Restaurants
Staterooms are well equipped - our TV was not working and it took them 3 days and numerous complaints to get it repaired.
The Epic Theater has ONE Entry/Exit and this is at the Elevator Lobby with 8 Elevators and directly across from the Spiegel Tent where the Cirque Show is staged, and directly oppposite the Headliners Lounge - this area is SOOO badly planned - total chaos in the evenings when shows commence and end.
Never seen a Cruise Line allowing smoking in the Staterooms and PRINTING it on their daily program ! !
Spice H2O aft on the ship staged 'Oh what a night' show the 1st, 2nd and 3rd evenings of the cruise - freezing cold and venue was not well prepared to host the shows - only deck chairs - could they not have moved the act to a more suitable indoor venue ? - there are ample on this big ship that could have hosted this fine group of fellas.
'Freestyle' cruising is probably not for us . . . .
Food and Dining
Manhatten Room & Taste - same menu for both - food pretty bland and not served with typical cruise line enthusiam.
Murder Mystery Dinner/Show and Cirque Dreams - both with premiums to pay - food was 'wedding style' slap the plate in front of you with no choices.
Shows/Acts where all well prepared and enjoyable
Service and Staff
Cabin / Stateroom
Pros: Brand New Ship with all the Bells and Whistles
Cons: Nobody seemed to know how to use the Bells and Whistles
