We chose Norwegian Encore for our honeymooon and had the best week of our lives. The staff, the food and drink, and entertainment were second to none. I would recommend this ship to anyone looking to be spoiled for a week!

Very disappointed as we spent extra money to get a suite which was not much bigger and tips were $84 more for the week than a similar cabin. The specialty dining now has surcharges on top of surcharges for some selections. We lost 3 of 4 ports but only refunded $42 for port taxes. Lost our excursions and the credits that go with each of the ports we missed. Masks were not enforced at all and I am now very sick with Covid. I started getting mild symptoms on day 6 and the day after return, very ill on oxygen. Not happy at all with our cruise nor the lack of memories we wanted to share with our adult children on a long planned family trip.

This was our first cruise and it was amazing! The cruise/staff kept the energy high and positive. Always fun music unless you wanted to escape to peace and quiet. Plenty of activities. The kids club was closed but the teen room was great! Best New Years parties! 6 different ones to attend depending on what you like. Pool party was the best!

I enjoyed the cruise, ship, staff, food service and entertainment. Plenty of trivia games and great night entertainment.

Overall a good cruise, although we were at about 2400 of a max load of 5000 passengers. Have to wonder what this ship would have been like at max? I am guessing very crowded as at times it was somewhat busy at the pool and buffet areas.

This was a wonderful cruise. The Encore is new and beautiful. Staff were excellent. Food was excellent. Only thing negative as stated above, was not receiving our final charges bill (in an email which we did receive, however, it was blank) to make sure they were correct and now have to wait up to 30 days to receive a copy.

Between the non-stop entertaining and ensuring everyone had a great time! 🥳 Encore is norwegian cruise lines best and largest ship and it definitely shows. From entertainment to amazing dining rooms 🍰and specialty restaurants and not to mention the go carts 🏎🏎 This was my first ship since the pandemic and i’m loving the reduced capacity. 👏👏 Not having to wait in crazy lines or have trouble getting a pool lounger definitely spoiled me! I’m not to sure what my next cruise will be yet but it’s definitely time to plan again!!! 🥳🍾🐷

NCL is doing a fantastic job - the ship is beautifully designed, many activities to choose from, food is delicious, and the service top notch! Soon as we can, we are planning our next NCL cruise. As Latitudes members, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted with our gifts!

Great first cruise for me! Already booked on the Prima!

This trip to Alaska was on my bucket list. NCL did not disappoint. The Encore is a beautiful ship with wonderful staff. The food was exceptional. A 5-star hotel on water. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

Icy straight point /Hoona is still a wasted time because of the small area of shops and space. We were not even a full ship and people were on top of each other everywhere. Small walking trail around the docks was not allowed to go to town (small as it is) because of Covid. Hallways are tight in the cabin areas and very hard to get around with scooters and or people on them. In the public areas they are fine but they will have problems with a full ship. Be prepared to walk a lot on the ship to get from one side to the other.

This trip was for our 25th anniversary. Wish we had done something else.

Absolutely 💯 loved this cruise! It was very refreshing.

Cruise was great. Loved the Encore. Will not go back to Alaska via NCL. The new ports were an inconvenience especially when you have cruise lines that will stop right in town.

Top notch service. No Masks on the ship! No restrictions. Encore is the perfect design. Crew treated us like family. We'll be back soon.

This is an awesome cruise/itinerary with good ports of call. Unfortunately, a delay due to a medical emergency at sea which involved an RCAF air-sea helicopter rescue of one of the passengers, the cruise line skipped the Skagway stop. Icy Strait point was nice and it appears that there is a lot of development going on there -- will be interesting to see how that progresses in the future. Juneau was a nice port of call -- try the Mount Roberts tramway and hike the trails overlooking the city. We did the NLC excursion which you take a small boat into Endicott Arm, get up close and personal with the Dawes glacier, and then rendezvous with the ship in the middle of Endicott Arm. Highly recommend this excursion. Highlight of the cruise for us. The Ketchikan stop however was a disorganized mess. My understanding is NCL built their own dock outside the city which is where Encore tied up. The dock is 8 miles from the city. OK, so shuttle buses were provided -- for $8 for a roundtrip. Seems a little cheap on NCL's part not to provide the shuttle gratis since we could have docked at the port in the city. But the worst part was the chaos in the terminal. there were insufficient shuttle buses to handle the influx and the wait to board the buses was 1-2 hours depending on when you left the ship. Given that the ship arrived over an hour late and you could spend up to 3 hours waiting for and riding on buses, this stop was a complete waste of time for us. We understand that standing in line is sometimes unavoidable, but this was ridiculous -- I'm on vacation, I don't want to waste my time in a queue for 2 hours. I suggest NCL figure out a more efficient process to move passengers from their new port to the city of Ketchikan or go back to docking in the city. And our ship was only 60% full -- this situation will only get worse when they return to full capacity sailings. VERY disappointed in NCL. We will be avoiding Ketchikan on any future NCL Alaska sailings until this situation is improved.
