We took a last minute cruise out of Houston, due to the very low price. We had cruised with NCL 2x before and had not been not impressed; so we were pleased to find that this cruise was an improvement. Food was better, service was better. Did not like the fact that you could never seem to get away from smokers, no matter which side of the ship you were on. We kind of miss the formal nights on freestyle cruises; it can be fun to dress up occasionally and the optional formal nights just don't seem the same. Regardless of the rules, people do wear jeans and shorts in the dining room at night. Would prefer that dress code is enforced a bit more as there are other options if you don't want to get cleaned up to eat in the dining rooms.

Pros: freestyle cruising

Cons: shore excursions/ tender process was very disorganized compared to what we were used to on other cruise lines.

Recommends Norwegian Dream? Yes!
