This was our first cruise and we did not know what to expect. So we accepted what ever was there. We did had good time overall just because we had chance to relax. But still I think the cruise can be better. Our disappointment began from the boarding time. pair of photographers were just pushing passengers to make a photo, without explaining that one picture would cost you $20. (they also took a picture of my little one alone without asking my permition). Boarding line was long. Linnens in the room were old, ripped in some places. Food was average american picnic fare (hotdogs, hamburgers, french fries, some salads). Portions were small in restaurants. Only 2 small whirlpools that always were occupied. Bartenders can not make proper cocktails (asked for Black and Tan, Long Island Ised tea, etc. and got something strange.)
The best time we had was on Bermuda when we explored the island by ourselves. Suggested NCL excursions were very expensive, so we bought 2 day bus pass and traveled from one end of the island to another. Everything is very expensive on Bermuda, and of poor quality, T-shirts we bought had holes, fridge magnet broke the very day we put it on the fridge.

Food and Dining

Did not like food at all, no proper seafood at all, just baked fish, shrimps were of micro size. Very limited veggies option. Every day was the same food: hotdogs, hamburgers, etc. Got an impression that most of the food was canned. Menu items from le Bistro restaurant ($15 surcharge) were in another restorant on the next day. Tropical party was good though, lots of fruits, but this was only one day. Chocolate buffet was horrible, same chocolate cake cut and decorated in different ways, not tasty at all. But they made beautiful ice and chocolate figures ( not edible). When called room service, only limited menu items were available, juice for extra charge and had to wait 45 minutes for that.

Only activity was bingo, or some poor quality shows. We sent our kids to the Kids crew in the evening and had absolutely nothing to do during that time. With the only exception, they have wounderful couple (piano/violin) that performed at one of the bar areas, and we just were sitting and listenning to them. 70's party was terrible, very small dance space. Art auction had huge prices, you can not expect high bidding on such a budget cruise.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Kids Crew was really good. Our kids were asking to go to the Kids Club from the morning. They had fun there I guess.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Staff was friendly to our liitle one and generally. But room stuart made a funny animal from towel only one night, never again. May be we had to leave a tip for him, but we were told that all tips are added to our bill at the end of cruise, and it is indeed was so.
But overall staff made effort to accomodate our requests.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Pools are outside and hard to use due to weather. Not suited for little kids, very deep. They have sauna and steam room in the spa area, free of charge but it is not advertized, so we only discovered this at the last day of the cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Layout was good. We had oceanview stateroom with picture window. Queen bed and sofa for kids. Little bit crowded in the entrance area. But linnens were so bad, ripped, old. When asked for extra blanket, we got something from the shelter.

Pros: 3 days in Bermuda

Cons: Food is not great, poor selection and taste.

Recommends Norwegian Dream? No.
