7 Night Bermuda (Boston Roundtrip)
Sail Date: July 20, 2008
Ship: Norwegian Dream
Cabin Type: Inside
Reviewed: 9 years ago
The Dream has a decent size footprint, not so large you spend half your time getting to and from events, dining rooms, pools, etc.; it is easy to navigate with easy access to water views. The Promenade Deck wraps the ship, great for walkers and joggers; and common areas at the back of the ship afford the leisure traveler the opportunity to sit and watch the ships wake outdoors.

Freestyle dining provides flexibility, but also requires some planning and investigation.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Breakfast buffet options are excellent, however quality varied by food item. Dont have unrealistic expectations, staple food items such as waffles, scrambled eggs were no frills, but offset by plenty of fresh cut melon. Dinner quality of entree varied, but generally decent; quality of desserts was consistently marginal in all dining venues.

3 out of 5
Basic, traditional cruise entertainment; chocolate night is somewhat over hyped - more presentation than quality

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Personnel were friendly and helpful; one cant help but ask how they keep up such great appearances considering their routine.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The common areas were clean and not tired looking.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Nothing exceptional
3 out of 5
Port has easy access to beaches, and bus system enables discovering Hamilton possible. For the self-starter easy to see what Bermuda has to offer.
Don't Miss: Jet ski around St. George's; Horseshoe Bay; Crystal Caves

Pros: Affordable means to discover expensive Bermuda

Cons: Dining: quality of desserts; made for the masses

Recommends Norwegian Dream? Yes!
