After cruising on Carnival's large ships, we were a bit concerned about an older smaller ship. Totally wrong. The Dream seemed just as large and modern as the Carnival Conquest etc and was a much more efficient deck plan. Lots of elevators, stairwells, larger open pools and hot tubs, swim up bar, larger guest room for the money and the show room was a much better configuratiion. Large window walls everywhere in the public areas. The staff was fantastic. They were everywhere you needed them. Now for the food... The buffet was what you would expect, just a buffet with good food. The 4 restaurants were another story. Absolutley 5 star food and service. Some of the best meals we have ever had bar none. The Free Style Cruising allowed my wife and I to have intimate tables for two at every meal. Most were at the windows. You can imagine the sunrises and sunsets. The seven days went by too fast. We both agreed it was the best week we have had in our 36 years of marriage.

Pros: everything from the staff, the ship, the pools, the shows, and the best part...the food!! Free Style Cruising is the only way to go for us from now on!!

Cons: 7 days.......too short! The actual restaurants were 5 star. The buffet was a buffet, ok.

Recommends Norwegian Dream? Yes!
