What a blast!

Sail Date: February 17, 2007

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was beautiful! Very well-maintained--crews were constantly cleaning & polishing. There were many food service & bar choices. Our room was promptly cleaned each morning, and spruced up as needed during turn-down each evening. We traveled with a big group of friends, so we had anywhere from 2 to 13 of us together at once. We're the kind of people who 'make our own fun'-- so we did! They didn't really give us much detail ahead of time, though, about what we were going to have to pay for on board, so we were a little surprised that we had to pay for juice (for example)--except at breakfast. There were always plenty of activites on board to keep us entertained, including live music almost all the time. Overall, it was a wonderful trip!

Pros: The excusion in Belize

Cons: The 'nickel & dime'

Recommends Norwegian Dream (RETIRED)? Yes!

Cozumel, Mexico
LOTS of shopping options in Cozumel, which is more geared toward tourists. We took a snorkeling/beach party excusion here--had great weather and a fabulous day!
Don't Miss: Carlos & Charlies for lunch!
Belize City, Belize
This was our absolute favorite! We took an excusion into the rain forest that included a river float tube trip. After the float trip, we walked through an orange grove and were invited to pick and eat oranges right off the trees. Lunch was great, too. The ruins were pretty small, but the river was the highlight! This trip was completely worth every penny!
Don't Miss: Jungle River Tubing and Mayan Ruins

Progreso (Merida), Mexico
Interesting city--fairly new to tourism. Steer clear of the meat market! We went to Flamingos (beachside) for lunch--excellent food! The flea market had a great variety of vendors, and shopping was the most affordable throughout the trip.
