We embarked at Istanbul, Turkey, on the November 2001 sailing of the Mediterranean cruise and it was spectacular! We upgraded our cabin to a suite with a balcony, and it was one wonderful suite. The service in the main dining room was a bit slow, but the service in all the other dining rooms were excellent. The ports of call were great, lots to see and do in all of them. The entertainment was typical of NCL, Shawn Faraquete (the magician) was great, the commedian was hysterical. We love NCL and its concept of freestyle dining. We are already planning our next journey on this intimate ship, maybe to the Baltic Sea. Until then we will be "Dreaming" of our next cruise...
