Disappointing

Sail Date: August 10, 2008

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

Disappointed with the ships appearance as it was old and worn with no grand showcase area. Upset with crew members for fighting among them selves in front of us. Wet luggage upon loading the ship (which could have easily been prevented by a tarp) causing our group to miss the evening show to sort through everything and then waited 24 hours before our clothes were returned to us (expectedly the cleaning was complimentary). Spa employee did not show up for my scheduled massage causing our family to miss an entire morning of activities for nothing. Obvious cut in expenses as no craft classes, no cooking classes, etc. offered.

Pros: Excursions, although pricy. Free style dining concept. Size of staterooms.

Cons: Obvious cut in program for passengers.

Recommends Norwegian Dream (RETIRED)? No.

Ship Quality
Ship's appearance as it was old and worn with no grand showcase area.
Food and Dining
Food fairly good. Two restaurants served the same menu which defeated the free style concept. Minimual higher end sea foods.
Cabin / Stateroom
Room size and storage good. Pillows hard as rocks. TV small and old with minumal stations (we missed all the Olympic coverage).
Service and Staff
Generally okay, but no one went 'above and beyond'. Never saw cruise director on ship.
Entertainment
Live shows were very good. Free activities were at a minimum.
St. George's, Bermuda
Quaint. Difficult to manuver if you have any handicap
