Not the best

Sail Date: November 07, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The lines were poorly managed. we waited in line 3 hours at the pier....and we were early enough....only 3 individuals checking your papers.....and that is literally all they did. We had to wait AGAIN to get our room key with AGAIN only 4 people checking every one in

Pros: The excursions were great.....staff good

Cons: Lines, disorganized,poor food

Recommends Norwegian Dream (RETIRED)? No.

Cabin / Stateroom
Nice.....good floor plan....a little old but nicely kept up.
Entertainment
Nothing special....if we'd paid to get in we would have been miffed.
Food and Dining
This is our 7th cruise and the worst food. Thanksgiving dinner was part of a "turkey roll" with a spoon full of dry dressing....the potatoes were mashed yams and sweet potatoes so orange flavored they tasted like juice....except for one night of prime rib the meals consisted of cheap cuts of meat and the desserts mostly tasted like a Safeway special. The seafood was unedible. And we tried crab, shrimp, calamari, and halibut....all fishy tasting and we sent it all back uneaten. The two main dining rooms had the same menu each night and the italian one and french one had the same one the whole time except for when the french one had a sushi night....and after all the bad fish we had we would't even think of trying it for fear of poisoning
