Good Cruise

Sail Date: May 05, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Oceanview

Overall the ship was great. The people were friendly and went out of their way to please. The only shortfall is that dining sometimes took forever. A few times there were long lines and long waits for food to arrive at our table. With kids, it was miserable to go out for a nice dinner, but if you are traveling without kids, it would be fabulous.

Pros: St Petersburg, Russia was worth the whole trip

Cons: My husband and kids got sick and missed out on Russia & Tallin, but I enjoyed myself.

Recommends Norwegian Dream (RETIRED)? Yes!

Entertainment
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Lots of waiting.
Cabin / Stateroom
Small but adequate.
Children's Programs
We had small children so the activities were not that useful. It would be good for children older than 5 years old.
Service and Staff
Stockholm, Sweden
Met a friend and toured around ourselves. Good food and shopping.
Don't Miss: Changing of the Guards & Vesa Museum
Helsinki, Finland
You can do it yourself. We visited 3 churches/cathedrals, plus enjoyed eating and shopping in the marketplace.
Don't Miss: Rock Temple Church
St. Petersburg, Russian Federation
Great time both days. Tours were good and thorough. The ballet in the evening was fantastic.
Don't Miss: Hermitage
Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany
Hanseatic Rostock tour was great especially the trip to the brewery. Free beer!
Don't Miss: Brewery
Copenhagen, Denmark
Very nice walk from the ship to town. Lovely ponds, statues and fountains along the way.
Don't Miss: Evening river cruise & Tivoli Gardens
