We enjoyed the trip. A bit calmer seas would have been nice but we managed that just fine. Everyone was helpful when we needed it and all went well.

Fairly slow but there are a lot of people. The port workers were very nice and helpful

Food and Dining

The food was excellent. However, we were extremely disappointed with the Teppenyaki. Oriental is my favorite specialty food. But the loudness made it impossible to carry on a conversation. I had shrimp and scallops. The shrimp was excellent but the scallops, served last, were so salty that they were almost inedible. The young man preparing the food had already departed by the time I tasted my scallops. I probably wouldn't have said anything at that point since the cooking was over. But we will not eat at that restaurant again on Norwegian. We have traveled on the Dawn twice and really enjoyed Teppenyaki before. I need to emphasize that the "playfulness" of the cooks was not fun. It was too loud and grating. We were not traveling with a group and we enjoy meeting and talking to others. This was impossible. All of the other experiences were wonderful.
Onboard Activities

The Dawn has some of the best entertainment around. We made a point of going to as much of the evening shows as we could manage. The last big production at thee end was spectacular. I, in particular, enjoyed the piano player. But it was all excellent. We have traveled on other ship lines and we have yet to find shows as good. We also enjoyed the pool and shuffleboard and walking the deck. We had a balcony and spent a lot of time there. It was great for slowing down and enjoying the time off.

Everyone was great.
Ship Quality

Everything was clean and nicely maintained. The only thing I had trouble with was fining restrooms. The opposite sex RR was always the one I found first. This is a silly complaint and I know it but I thought that I would mention it.
Cabin / Stateroom

I enjoy a balcony. I don't feel closed in that way. And I also survived some really rough water by being able to see out and sit out when I could. Our cabin steward was very nice. He provided things that I needed. And once, when he was unavailable, another steward provided me with what I needed. All stayed clean.
