Review summary

We had an amazing time on this cruise! This was our first time cruising on Norwegian and we loved it!! The service was excellent. There were plenty of different dining options and all of them were wonderful. We didn't have our kids with us on this cruise, but it didn't seem very kid friendly. So if that is something you're looking for, this might not be right. Otherwise, everything was awesome!! We already booked another cruise with Norwegian for next year!!

It was very nice. My only complaint would be that they left our beds as twin beds, when I know they could have been made into one bed. We fell in the crack between the beds. Otherwise great.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

If you are looking for kid friendly on a Norwegian ship, you want the Gem. There are characters, etc. There may be more ships in their fleet for kids, you should ask.

I am going 10/04 this year to Bermuda and have cruised many times but a little worried after reading it was such an old ship.. Is it dry docked for updating I hope?

So someone can't even remember when they cruised? I cruise & I know I was on the Dawn April 24- May 1. Traveled w/mom in law that had just finished chemo-the staff was amazing & so sweet to her. Shows were incredible, specialty restaurants-we went to 4/5. Happy staff and yummy food. Was the ship in need of repair? We looked-didn't see anything horrible- normal wear & outdated decor.

Splash Academy for ages 3-12 and Entourage for 13-17. Tons of stuff to do plus the pool areas and water park stuff on the larger ships. Fun is where you make it. 😊

Shannymads they do have the pool area for the little ones and also a kids club where they do activities with the kids. Our daughter and our friends daughter went to the teen club and they had a blast and made more friends.

We took our son & daughter-n-law on the Dawn in Either Feb. or March, & it was the worst one we'd ever had. We have always used Carnival, so it wasn't like we'd never cruised. Had it been our first cruise then there would never been a second one. It's a good thing it went to dry dock because it was pathetic. Let's put it this way, I went to the library & read to kill time.

They are still in dry dock @brook237. The 1st cruise is on June 17th

Did you cruise after the updates on the ship?

What do you mean by it didn't seem kid friendly? I have little ones in my group and we're going in July. I heard they have a children's pool area and play areas
