Physically this is a nice ship...mid size, nice floor plan, etc. However it is very dated and showing its' age. The good news is that on May 19, 2016 immediately after our cruise was over it went into dry dock for a multi-million dollar makeover. I'm sure when it resumes cruising that the décor, furnishings, floors and cabins will have a much improved feeling.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The menu and the quality of the food preparation was very good in the main dining rooms. The buffet at lunch concentrate too much on hot, spicy type foods. Le Bistro and La Cucina specialty restaurants were excellent.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Production shows were excellent. Jugglers, magicians, etc. just average.
Children's Programs

Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Cabin steward was excellent. Food service was neither exceptional nor bad.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Dated and worn décor. However, ship is being revamped in May and should improve this.
Ship tip
Pay attention to either cruising on the newer ships or ships that have recently been refurbished.
Went to the Mayan ruins of Quirigua. Very interesting. This port is very limited in shore excursions and there is little to do within walking distance of the dock area.
