Review summary

Norwegian was great and very hospitable. the food was great. This was my second cruise with them and I plan to go again. I was surprised and blind sided by the daily, per person extra resort fee style charge that came out to be about an extra $200.00!

Good for 2 people, 3 would be tight. But if you don't spend much time there anyway, it makes it affordable cozy.

Ship tip

The extra daily per person fee's. That the "Water Package" is not included in the beverage or alcohol packages. WiFi and cell phone usage cost extra.

Stay an extra night in a hotel (The Omni) near the dock before you go. We enjoyed the the French Quarter which was within walking distance. Then walked across the street with out bags and hopped on the ship.

Pick your shore excursion carefully, some are overpriced and not that interesting. The pyramids can be great, only if you pick the right trip.

Guess you should read the emails they send and the contract you signed by clicking the box in your online check in. No one blindsided you-you failed to be an informed consumer.

This will be our 2nd attempt with Norwegian, the first one was long ago on the "Norway" out of Miami. It never left port because it had 103 Coast Guard violations. Cruise cancelled after a full day in the port of Miami, however the food during those 24 hrs was very good..
