7 Night Western Caribbean (New Orleans Roundtrip)
Sail Date: January 24, 2016
Ship: Norwegian Dawn
Cabin Type: Inside
Cabin Number: 12521
Traveled As: Family (older children)
Reviewed: 1 year ago

We were very happy with the service we received on the trip. The cabin steward was super, always had cabin ready and done as if reading our minds. The dining was good, used the Asian restaurant twice for dinner and really enjoyed that too. The buffet actually looked good, but not being a buffet guy, I didn't use. The shows were very good, I was surprised, though the seats in the theater were a bit worn and not too comfortable.

The cabin was kept in great shape by Alvin, were rarely saw him, but we saw his work, which was superb. He helped make for a great week

Ship Tip

I enjoyed the Jewel's layout better, but I understand the Dawn is going in for a redo.

Enjoyed Player del Carmen, a quick ferry ride across the water, with plenty to see right off the ferry.

Best for beach day. Did an Island tour in a cab, but it is pretty quick

Took the water taxi to Ambregris Caye, rented a golf cart for a couple hours, toured the island, and took a Tropic Air flight back to Belize city in time for boat, was a great day.

Took a $6 cab to beach, plenty of lounge chairs and umbrella's available. There is a new water park if you have kids that looked pretty good.
