Overdue vacation

During this cruise my wife & I both said it was the most relaxing vacation we have had in years. We booked one excursion thru the cruise ship. We liked it, but there were so many other boats that went snorkeling in the same area, which made it difficult to move around. In Curaçao we booked a chartered sailboat for a half day. That was great. The Captain new the area where to go. It was not crowded. We were able to see more fish then the previous day. We ate in the specialty restaurants for most of the cruise. Most of them were fairly good, skip the Italian restaurant. We did agree the service in the Aqua dinning room was better then any of the specialty restaurants. Our housekeeping was not that great. Sometimes we would have glasses to drink out of, other times we had plastic cups. That is unacceptable

Ship Quality
An older ship that can use a little TLC.
Food and Dining
Most of the specialty restaurants were good. The one to pass on is La Cucina, the Italian restaurant. The service & food need to be overhauled. The service in the Aqua dinning room was outstanding.
Service and Staff
Children's Programs N/A
Onboard Activities
Destinations and Excursions
We booked one excursion thru the ship. The place we went snorkeling in Aruba was to crowded. It seemed like everyone went to the same place.
Cabin / Stateroom
Cabin was nice. Housekeeping was terrible.
New Orleans, Louisiana
You can't go wrong in New Orleans. Great food, people watching, good weather.
Oranjestad, Aruba
Willemstad, Curacao
We chartered a sailboat for a half day. It was great.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Unfortunately, most of the shops closed early on the day we were in port, Sunday.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
We took a ferry to the island of St. John. We had a great time at Trunks Bay.
Boston, Massachusetts
We spent 3 days in Boston. It was the first time for my wife. The city is easy to get around. Use the subway or buy a 3 day pass from one of the tour trolleys to get around town. You can get on &off the trolleys.

Unfortunately, we had to ask housekeeping for towels to take to the pool or beach. Our housekeeping person did not replace our beach towels. We got tired of asking for them. We picked ours up at the pool or off her housekeeping cart. Our friends on the cruise did not experience any of this.
