Multiple issues

Room Type: Inside

Stateroom bed broken - had to request replacement; stateroom refrigerator broken - took 2 days to fix; room service was ordered but never showed up twice; turned away from main dining area because one person in our party was wearing dress shorts while others were allowed in wearing tank tops, cargo shorts, and flip flops (selective and inconsistent enforcement of dress code); room was very noisy - hammering and drilling for several hours on 3 days; were told coming through security that corkage fees would not be charged unless we took wine into public areas (restaurants) but discovered charge when reviewing final bill - representative stated that what we were told initially was wrong but wouldn't accept responsibility and I had no recourse.  So I filed an investigation with my bank (improper charge to the card).  Been on 6 cruises (2 with Norwegian), this was the worst, won't use Norwegian again.  Staff on the Dawn were far less engaging and friendly than other ships we've sailed on in the past.

Ship Quality
Many issues/areas under repair and out of service/not accessible.
Food and Dining
Food was good, service varied, inconsistent enforcement of dress code.
Service and Staff
Some were adequate, others were apparently not happy and didn't care who knew it.
Quality was great but venues were poorly chosen sometimes (magician in the lounge, only those seated close could see).
Onboard Activities
Destinations and Excursions
Costa Maya had nothing away from the dock; the dock only had shopping. Belieze, Cozumel, Roatan Island were all good.
Cabin / Stateroom
Noisy, bed broken, refrigerator didn't work, room service ordered twice but didn't show up.
New Orleans, Louisiana
Lots to do here if you can spare the time.
Cozumel, Mexico
One of our favorites - beautiful! Rent a car but don't pay much (they're all junk and they will negotiate prices) and drive yourself - inexpensive and great way to see the uninhabited side where the beaches are gorgeous! Got to stop at Hacienda Antigua and taste/buy tequila. The tour is good, too, and the food is pretty good.
Belize City, Belize
Private beach is pretty decent - don't swim near Belize City in unprotected areas, too many sharks and rays.
Roatan (Isla Roatan), Bay Islands, Honduras
Private beach but not the one the cruise line pushes - costs $40 just to enter, you can get the same thing almost at the others for $10 each.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Shopping at the pier is okay but away from that there is nothing but poverty. Sad but not a place I'd care to visit again.

Take another ship or wait until this crew rotates off.
