Sail Date: September 01, 2012 Ship: Norwegian Dawn Cabin Type: Inside Traveled As: Large Group Reviewed: 4 years ago
This cruise was pretty comparable to our royal Caribbean and carnival cruises. Boat a bit smaller so as expected a slightly smaller pool and basketball court, gym was very nice and spacious. boat was very clean and nice staff. We went during a hurricane so our itineary was altered but they did a good job ensuring our safety and making sure we had a good trip.
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Instead of freestyle dining\, we chose to have the same table at the Venetian restaurant each night with the same wait staff\, it was my family and our family friends (10 total people) Our waiters name was Danillo from the phillipines\, he made our dining experience incredible. I have been on over 6 cruises including Royal Carribean and Carnival all over the world and he made this dining experience jump to the top of the list. We could not have asked for a friendlier\, nicer\, harder worker and just great person to be around. Not only did he provide great service he made us all laugh\, would ask us about our day and what we did etc. we told him we went to a magic show and he then proceeded to do his own magic tricks at the end of each dinner using the napkins and making animals etc\, so awesome and funny. We also have 3 people with gluten allergy\, and he went above and beyond making sure everything was right ensuring our health and safety. Overall the food was just ok.

Ship was clean and nice\, pool a little small\, just tough to compare to other bigger cruise liners I have been on.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our stateroom attendant was Michael\, our room number was 10015 on the norweigan dawn. he was very nice and friendly and did a hell of a job. We had 4 6 foot guys in the smallest room possible\, you can imgaine how much of a mess our room was\, he was awesome and super friendly. Very impressed.
Pros: Group dinners with our waiter Danillo from the Phillipines at the Venetian restaurant was the highlight of our cruise.
Cons: Small and weak screened in basketball court. The main pool seemed a little small. They were not able to show NFL football games on Sunday which was a problem for many passengers.
