This was a great time to go to Bermuda. The weather was fabulous and beaches (other than Horseshoe; go to Elbow Beach)were not crowded and they were pristine. The Freestyle dining took a couple of days to get used to, if you are familiar with set dining times on other cruises, but once you are used to it, it goes smoothly. The buffets were hit or miss, but they did have these pretzel rolls at the New York deli that just like eating soft pretzels. They offer other restaurants for a cover fee. They will bombard you with this in a relentless fashion. The entertainment was excellent. Nice shows by the show crew, Second City comedy troupe was hilarious. They had a likable older comedian who told old jokes, but he was cute. They do have music everywhere as they say, and you could always find some sort of music somewhere. The staterooms were small as on other cruises, but the bed, pillows, and linens were high quality and comfortable. The shower is rather roomy for a cruise and had great water pressure. The housekeeping staff was warm and friendly and very helpful. One thing I disliked was that the only free pool for adults is a deep water pool. If you want to use a pool that you can relax in, you have to pay for it. Other cruises make pools like this readily accessible. See Celebrity Summit for a nice pool experience.

Food and Dining

The main dining rooms are very elegant and offer typical "upscale" cruise food. You may have to wait for a table since there are no set dining times. You will get a different table and waitstaff each evening, so if you enjoy that relationship with your waitstaff that you get on other cruises, that will be missing. The buffets are hit or miss. I found the carving stations to be dependable. Some things you looked at and wondered what they were thinking, but overall, they were good. The desserts were not good on this cruise.

The entertainment was excellent. Second City was very funny and did several shows. The show on the last night "Bollywood" was stylish and very well done.

Small but comfortable. High quality linens, bed, and pillows. The shower was larger than other cruises and had great pressure.

Skip the shore excursions. You can make your own arrangements and get everywhere using a very good bus and ferry system. The beaches are fabulous. Everyone goes to Horseshoe beach, so it is always crowded. Go to Elbow beach which is one bus stop up the road and just as nice. You may have the beach to yourself. The sand is pink and like powder and the water warm and crystal clear. Do not eat in Bermuda unless you like paying 28 bucks for fish and chips. Do buy ginger beer. It is non-alcoholic and my favorite. St. George is overrated and takes your whole day. You can do all the same shopping in Hamilton and it is easier to get to and much more comfortable. We did go to the aquarium. It is small but very nice and informative about coral and sharks. The lionfish were cool
Don't Miss: Do not miss the beaches.

Pros: 1. Bermuda; 2. Comfort of staterooms; 3. Entertainment

Cons: 1. Tried to get more money at every turn; 2. Limited pool

Recommends Norwegian Dawn? Yes!
