The cruise has some serious problems

The cruise line knew of the engin problems for a long time before we sailed. Some people were notified as early as Sept. that the engins were experiencing problems. We missed a port, were sent to 2 different ports, had a fire in the incenerator, lost hot water for an evening..The captain sent all a letter to our rooms stating that Norwegen offered to refund our money due to the engine problems if we didn't want to sail. No one I talked to ever heard the offer. The best food was the cafeteria.. Main dining room not good. The entertainment was great though, and saved the day- sort of. Elevators broke on debarktion.

Pros: Beautiful ship, entertainment was first rate. Staff was great

Cons: Meat in main dining rooms unedible and the rest of the meal was just fair

Recommends Norwegian Dawn? No.

Food and Dining
Meat in main dining rooms was unedible most of the time . Cafeteria was much better but not the ambiance I wanted for an eveniing meal. Breakfast and lunch in cafe. was very good

Beautiful ship. It was clean
Cabin / Stateroom
Stateroom adequate,beds O.K. Had to leave a note that there were 2 of us and please see that we had 2 towels,2 hand towels and 2 washcloths.

couldn't get an open air taxi so didn't have a trip.
St. John's, Antigua
Took a shore excursion from another source and had a great 7 + hours on a catamaran. Had a great lunch and great eco tour and snorkling
