A great cruise

Sail Date: September 02, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

We found the ship to ge beautiful and the food excellent in the main dining rooms. The spa prices were way too high and because there was a service fee vs gratuity you had no recourse for poor service or indifferent service. The shows were great and the ports wonderful.

Pros: We loved the dining options but did not like the pay ones. They used up too much of the free space on the ship.

Cons: They never heated the pools and made it difficult to exercise. Service fee versus gratuity. Service tended to suffer and you could not adjust the fee.

Recommends Norwegian Dawn? Yes!

La Baie, Quebec
Don't get off the ship or do an excursion
Boston, Massachusetts
You can walk off the ship to the north end and great dining. At most it was a 30 minute walk and to the sight seeing trolley. Stay away from the shuttle
Don't Miss: North End La Famiglia restaurant and Quicy Market
Bar Harbor, Maine
A great quaint town. Just like the pictures.
Don't Miss: Blue berry pie ala mode.
Halifax, Nova Scotia
You can walk to most attractions in town.

Quebec City, Quebec
Beautiful city, you can walk to most places. Don't do an excursion.
Don't Miss: Go to Bergstons art gallery in old town. Meet the artist, it is amazing.
Corner Brook, Newfoundland
Don't do the nature walk. Not much to do in town except go to the Walmart. Take an excursion into the interior.
Sydney, Nova Scotia
Joe's Warehouse restaurant is not that great, but everyone will recommend it to you.
