Traveled As: Family w/young children

The ship is immaculately clean. Hand sanitizers are a bit of an over-kill...People should remember basic hygiene and WASH THEIR HANDS. Staff was friendly and helpful although with a large majority of the staff being from Philippines, there is a language barrier. Cruise Director Matt can be a bit annoying at times but for the most part does a great job!

Pros: Freestyle, Ports, Impressions

Cons: soda-card is not worth it

Recommends Norwegian Dawn? Yes!

Children's Programs
my children didn't want to participate because at 9/10 they would have been separated and my daughter (9) "didn't wanna be with a bunch of baby's" (6)
Food and Dining
The food is good. Impressions is very good for a restaurant that does not require a service charge..Salsa - middle of the road mexican...the cheese sauce on the nachos was tacky...Bamboo - is the worst - imitation Asain food similar to that of a local chinese buffet. Cannot comment on Le Bistro - to authentic for our liking Cagneys - good if you can get a reservation - and Teppanyaki is not worth the cover charge - try getting in it only holds 20.
Cabin / Stateroom
Staterooms are are there to sleep. They are clean, fresh towels all the time, stewards friendly and accomodating, bathroom is adequate for what it is needed for shower, toilet, freshen-up! The walls are thin so the "NO" baby next store and the "screaming mother" were heard word for word clear as a bell. They did quiet down @ a reasonable time though.
Shows were good. Band on the Run is great...70's music and disco. Bollywood, I could have done without but entertaining. Gleason Magic was very good and Romani - juggling he was a little full of himself but equally entertaining. Bingo----don't believe the hype it is a money pit.
Ship Quality
The ship is clean, public areas large and clean, bathrooms - clean but some were locked at times due to toilets overflowing - same toilet was out-of-service for about 3 days. very easy to navigate around the ship...the carpet tells you if you are in FWD - AFT -
Service and Staff
They are friendly, always smiling...we even remarked that "when do they sleep?" we had seen the same staff repeatedly throughout the day and they were always upbeat even by the end of the cruise they were still going strong.. Only complaint is if you have a soda takes a while to get a soda as they have to get it from a bar or bar staff rather than pour from a can if you it seemed like it was a hassle when you asked and a bother...needless to say, if you are persistent they do get you your drink
