This was our first cruise and it was wonderful. If you've never cruised, you don't know what you're missing! I'm sorry it took so long for us to try it. We just booked another cruise, also on the Dawn! This time we're cruising with our entire family. It was a large enough ship, which is something we really wanted, but all the staff treated like we were the only ones there. The ship stewards even knew us by name. The ship was immaculate. The restaurants were good. We ate wherever and whenever we wanted, and even used roomservice.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Overall, it was great, maybe a few lines here and there, but not terrible. Many options are offered, although some have a surcharge. If you choose to go to one of the main restaurants, without surcharges, it's not a step down. The quality and service is just as good. I did hear about lavish midnight buffets from people who have cruised on other cruise lines, however, which I didn't find here. The only late night place to eat was more like fast food.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Plenty to do with a variety of options for all ages. The only drawback is that there are additional fees for many activities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was excellent! They clearly are trained in customer satisfaction!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
A beautiful ship, very clean, and large enough to go exploring and find things to do. Being our first cruise, we weren't sure if we would feel "caged in" on a ship, so we wanted to go on a larger one. The Dawn was perfect.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean and comfortable. We had a balcony room and wouldn't do it any other way. I couldn't imagine being in an inside room. Plenty of storage.

Pros: we loved the size of the ship and the freestyle dining

Cons: there are on board fees for so many things and activities

Recommends Norwegian Dawn? Yes!
