Not the best cruise!

Sail Date: August 01, 2006

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Balcony

This was not the first time on a cruise, but it was our first time with NCL. We were very disappointed. The cruise director staff was unfriendly. There were never enough deck chairs, people would stake them out at dawn and save them all day. We love the group activities, and there weren't enough. We found ourselves bored on several occassions. We also found ourselves waiting in line a lot. And if you don't make your reservations in the special restaurants on the first day, you will find yourself eating at the buffett the rest of the cruise.

Pros: The Ship is very Beautiful

Cons: Unfriendly Staff

Recommends Norwegian Dawn? No.

Food and Dining
The restaurants were booked so we ate at the buffett, and the blue lagoon. The food was o.k.
Service and Staff
We had one good server, and he was the best, Gilbert. The rest were rude and unfriendly.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our room attendant was not very friendly. Our room needed to be vacumed and things were always missed. I love the towel animals, we never got any.
Ship Quality
The ship is clean and beautiful! A little more space on the pool deck would have been nice.
If you like to be busy with activities, don't cruise here.
