Norwegian Dawn--Almost Perfect
Norwegian Dawn Cruise Review to Bermuda
Ship: Norwegian Dawn
Cabin Type: Inside
Traveled As: Family (young children)

Review SummaryWith at least 15 cruises under our belts and many of them top-notch, this cruise was a 3-run homerun, if not a grandslam. The Dawn was stately, massive, beautifully appointed and visually stunning.
Our room was exceptionally well-tended, the food--especially with the "Freestyle dining" option--was exceptional, as was our service. The staff was friendly and helpful, not an easy task with almost 3000 customers to serve. With three boys under 15, the one-price/week-long soda deal was a best buy, and the casual dinner dress was a godsend.
Egress and ingress at ports of call couldn't have been easier, but the embarkation in NYC was both crowded and hectic, and the disembarkation process was far too long.
The convenience of NYC area departure was an added plus, and baggage loading was handled very well. Even so, an early arrival at the pier is an advantage.
I've sailed with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Carnival, Holland America and others, and i had good experiences on almost all of them. None was better than the Norwegian Dawn, and we'd go back in a heartbeat--if we had the money.
I'm glad we went before the college bills started arriving.
