Review summary

We had a great time on this cruise and would definitely recommend it. Norwegian's Freestyle Dining plan is the way to go! There were no shortage of things to do onboard during the days at sea. The only downside was the WiFi. It is slow because the ship is moving. However, even when we were docked it seemed slow. We had no WiFi from our cabin for two days, and we finally talked to someone at the Internet Cafe and they did something about it. One must remember to log off the internet, otherwise the minutes in the plan will run out quickly.

Food and Dining

We loved Norwegian's Freestyle Dining plan. The Manhattan Room was our favorite restaurant and we ended up dining there every night.

Ship tip

The iConcierge app is not as useful as it could be. If choosing a WiFi plan, one must remember to log off after using the internet otherwise the minutes will run out in just one day. This was not emphasized in the plan description, and we had friends that left their smartphones connected and ran out of their minutes the first day.

Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany

Berlin is 2 hours away. We signed up for this excursion from the United Cruises website and not directly with Norwegian. We had a small group of 10 people and this was great. However, the tour operator had a mini bus for the 10 of us and the seats were cramped. This made the 2 hour trip to and from Berlin very uncomfortable.

The stop in Helsinki was shorted than in other ports. We could have used at least 2 more hours here.
