Ship: Norwegian Breakaway

The ship is new, clean and huge. I feared having 4500 passengers on board would hinder accessibility to activities but found that not to be the case. Loved the ship

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
There are 3 free sit-down dining rooms with excellent food and service. The Garden Cafe is a buffet-style with varous serving stations offering an excellent selection. The Sheehan Grill offers a limited meni free with excellent food and service. The specialty restaurants are not to be missed. TIP: Prior to sailing NCL usually offers a special for $57 per person to reserve 3 specialty restaurants. This is a good deal. You will not be disappointed.

We reserved seats to all the entertainment venues prior to sailing. We found all shows exceptional. This itinerary contained a number of days at sea; however, the number and variety of activities provided something for everyone.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was always friendly and helpful even when passengers were rude to them. Anytime we had questions, correct answers were immediately provided. Our cabin steward was exceptional. He anticipated our every need.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This is a new ship and is beautiful. Every part of the ship is kept immaculate. Cruisers are constantly reminded to wash/sanitize hands. Layout successfully manages 4500 passengers aboard with minimal congestion. Life drills we completed prior to departure.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had a balcony cabin midship on Deck 10. The room was fresh and spacious. (much larger than the pre-cruise hotel room in NYC). The beds were comfy. I would not take a cruise from NYC in November again since we were only able to use the balcony 2 of the 7 days of our cruise. (not the ship's fault)

Pros: Ship is beautiful, entertainment high calibre, food exceptional, activities for all ages, and friendly and helpful crew.

Cons: Our choice to cruise from NYC in November. Due to weather we only used our balcony for 2 days of the 7 day cruise.
