Overall, this was a nice ship. Chose this cruise because it was the second sailing and knew it would be new and clean! Also, the health club was touted as being 25K sq ft and the most state-of-the-art club.

Food and Dining

Food was good. Long waits at the three "included" restaurants for dinner. Manhattan was the nicest...having music and dancing at dinner. Disappointed with salad bar and variety of food at Garden Cafe for lunch. Felt the Jewel had a better salad bar and variety of food. Ocean Blue premium restaurant was good, not great. Paid $35pp booking before cruise. If you booked it when on the ship, it was increased to $49pp. Not worth it! The Brazilian restaurant was excellent! Add'l $20pp and worth it. Great salad bar and meats were terrific.

Shows were very good. Burn the Floor...excellent! Cirque...excellent but the meal was not good...they should just have the show and still can charge $49pp and skip the meal. Rock of Ages was okay...I didn't enjoy it (but I didn't like the movie either). Second City Comedy was great but Dysfunctional Family Reunion was not good...meal awful and we walked out before show ended. Magician was terrific! Took spinning classes...$30+gratuity/class and they don't even give you a bottle of water! Absurd...they charge for everything!!! Not enough exercise equipment for the number of guests and layout of gym is not well designed. Disappointed with the health club. Spa area was nice but small.

Service and Staff

Nothing memorable, pro or con, about the staff...they were okay.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
People complained this ship was too large and too many people. I didn't have a problem with either issue. If you don't want to be around 4,000 people, choose a different ship! Although ship is non-smoking except in designated areas, we smelled smoke in stateroom corridors! Public bathrooms were maintained and clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

Color scheme and storage in room was maximized. The balcony was very small...little knee room. Bed was very comfortable. Excellent lighting in room. If you're a large person, you'd have a problem on the balcony and also in the bathroom...tight! Our room was 1 of 28 in the spa area and included use of the spa...we liked this.

Pros: Entertainment

Cons: Health Club
