The cruise is what you make of it. When you book it you should be aware that it has short port times and if that is a biggie for you, don’t book this cruise. I had a great time, enjoyed the food and the wonderful people on board but not all passengers felt the same. If you don’t want to shell out the money for a balcony, don’t, you won’t feel like you are missing out, at least I didn’t. It was fun but I would visit Alaska by land next time and take day trips out on a smaller boat. But it was a great experience regardless!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Incredibly easy and well planned. My scheduled arrival was 10-1030 and I went through so quickly I had to wait until about 11 or so to get on the ship but it was very easy

Food and Dining
3 out of 5
I did not opt for any speciality dining but both Taste and Savor were nice dining options. I dined in the Manhattan Room once and the service and meal didn’t compare to the other two. Also enjoyed fish and chips at the Local. The food was overall pretty good.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
There are not many scheduled activities on the ship unless you want to pay for bingo, wine tastings or bid on art. They had free games where you guessed songs or movies based on emojis but that was about it
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Icons was painful to sit through and I couldn’t make it the whole show for the Beatles but Jersey Boys was amazing and a must see!
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Everyone was very friendly and helpful

Cabin / Stateroom

I did not feel that I missed out on the experience by having an inside cabin. There are places all over to enjoy the views.
Ship tip
Shore excursions booked through the ship will increase your cruising experience. Because the Bliss has very short port times it was very helpful and more enjoyable to have private transport through the excursion. Transportation alone, even if you don’t like the excursion makes it worth it. Without an excursion you will waste a lot of time traveling.
Best of Sitka tour. The Sitka Park is beautiful and we also visited the Rapture Center and Fortress of the Bears. It was probably my least favorite port. Unfortunately it’s a little run down and businesses have closed leaving little work.
Small area that is built to cater to the cruise ships. You can take the green gondola into town for free and walk around or do an excursion. I checked out the town for about an hour and then took the red gondola up to the top to take in the views and walk the trail.
My favorite port! Beautiful area and lots to do! I took the gold belt tram up to overlook the area and walk the trails. I thoroughly enjoyed this area and later went and got king crab at Tracy’s.. worth it! Another cruiser went on a whale watching tour and got quite the show! I would love to stay in Juneau for a few days if I go back.
I opted to get off at my own leisure around 645am and the line was already insanely long. It took about 30 minutes in the queue to get off. Not my favorite but wasn’t awful
Shh813.. I woke up 45 days before the cruise and decided I wanted to go to Alaska and I only wanted to go the week of Memorial Day. So that’s how that worked out!
You complained about the times being short at the ports and I looked at your itinerary and yes they were. So why did you pick that cruise? We went in 2015 and all the ports we went to had great times.
