Review summary

Overall it was a brilliant cruise, exceeded our expectations. We were also lucky with weather, it was sunny and pleasant for the most of the cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We are Platinum, so embarkation was with the priority group. Check in and boarding was fairly quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had 4 dinners at speciality restaurants and our favourites were Cagney’s and Le Bistro. Did not enjoyed Teppanyaki this time and Food Republic, although staff was really nice, it was not what we expected. Food at complimentary restaurants was pretty good, The Local is hit and miss but still better than American Diner, which has half of the Local stuff on the menu, except you are sitting outside in the cold.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Plenty of things to do for adults and kids

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Plenty of entertainment, trivia’s, quizzes etc. every day. We did enjoy comedy shows, but did not attend The Beatles or Jersey Boys. Dj and musicians around the ship were excellent.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We have experienced excellent service on this cruise.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
For cleanliness - no issues. For the design - cabin layouts aren’t great. The tv’s in the cabins are mounted right next to the bed of the neighbouring cabin. Which means if someone is watching a tv, even on a soft volume, it will be quite hearable by the neighbours. Plus the couch next to a wardrobe.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Layout was strange - neighbour’s tv mounted next to your bed and a tin wall in between. Couch placed next to a wardrobe blocking access.

Ship tip

Go to Maltings bar, don’t bother with the casino - do not pay well. Do not go for breakfast to the Local unless you enjoy very greasy food.

Ports of call

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Small town with some good shops. And of course glacier excursions.

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
Lovely town walking distance from the ship. I wish we could have a full day there.

Seattle, Washington

4 out of 5

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We followed the announcements for each group (we were in a priority) and did not wait more than 10min to disembark. It went all smoothly and quickly.
