Review summary
I had the pleasure of interacting with Gusti, my room steward, during my voyage. He was exceptional—always pleasant and willing to assist, enhancing my experience significantly. Monica, who led the behind-the-scenes tour, was equally delightful. Her friendly demeanor and informative guidance made the tour a memorable part of my trip. Joseph at the Internet cafe was a standout for his helpfulness and integrity. His assistance was invaluable, making him a highlight of my journey. However, my overall experience with the rest of the crew and the cruise operations did not meet these high standards. The service could best be described as mediocre. I couldn't help but feel that the cruise line was intent on maximizing their profits at the expense of the guest experience, with upcharges and additional fees being a common theme throughout the trip. This was my third cruise with a third different line, and sadly, it ranked at the bottom of my list. The approach to cost-cutting was evident in various aspects, from apparent understaffing to a generally unsatisfactory experience. Based on this experience, I am hesitant to book with Norwegian Cruise Line again, unless I learn of significant improvements in their service and operational philosophy.Embarkation
