Sorry you did not enjoy the cruise. We loved our first Alaska cruise on the Joy and are headed back in May. We had plenty of time in the ports, and we booked NCL excursions when our port time was shorter, so we knew we would get back in time. We also used the Seattle service that takes your bags to the airport, so there is no delay in retrieving luggage.

Any experienced cruiser will tell you two things, neither of which are the fault of the cruise line: 1.) Booking flights: NEVER book a flight so close to Debarkation Time. Grab a later flight if you can. 2.) The cruise line CLEARLY tells you when you'll be in port in their apps, emails to you, etc. You HAVE to read them. If there's a change, that's how they'll let you know before the cruise. On the cruise, they make several announcements on the PA system, newsletter, app, and cabin TV. You're responsible for finding a way to remember what they tell you. All those things you mentioned in your review could have been avoided by doing a little more research, something I suggest you do more of if you decide to cruise again.

Hard to feel bad when someone clearly didn’t do any research beforehand. Every cruise line tells you not to book a flight before noon. When you book it tells you where you are going and the times you will be in port. No room to complain when you were told when you booked.

Sorry you were disappointed with your first cruise.

In my experience, I read that cruises that embark from Seattle tend to have short porr times, especially when doing an International Port from Canada. This is why my first Alaskan cruise was roundtrip from Vancouver.

Sorry your first cruise experience was a disappointment. If you try again please do some research.

Your fault for booking a flight only 2 hrs after disembarking. And the port times are always clearly shown in the itinerary before you book the cruise so I don't know why you're disappointed there. Please do basic research before booking your next cruise.

Sorry you did not enjoy your cruise. In the future: 1. look at port times before you book. 2. You went to Alaska, not a big swimming pool cruise when you get that far north. 3. You can carry off your own luggage if you know you have a tight travel schedule. Cruising is an amazing way to travel! Give it another shot some day.
